Timo der Weduwen leads Prosectra with over 37 years of distinguished service in law enforcement, international government, and humanitarian aid sectors. As a seasoned professional, he specializes in risk management, crisis response, and kidnap-for-ransom incident management, providing expert training for UN agencies, INGOs, and executives worldwide.

 

At the helm of Prosectra, Timo collaborates with an expansive global network to deliver unparalleled risk management and crisis response solutions. His deep expertise in high-risk environment management, critical incident response, and negotiation stems from senior roles in the Netherlands Police, the European Union, and the United Nations. As a graduate of Scotland Yard’s prestigious International Hostage Negotiation Programme, he is recognized as a leading negotiator and manager in kidnap-for-ransom incidents.

 

Timo is the visionary behind the Kidnap for Ransom Incident Management Programme (KRIM™), a globally respected certification programme that has trained professionals since 2021. His groundbreaking simulation-based training approach blends real-world crisis scenarios with theoretical frameworks, enhancing personal and organizational preparedness.

 

Renowned for his humanistic and strategic approach to crisis management, Timo is a passionate advocate for duty of care, integrity strategies, and fostering resilience in modern-day organizational structures. His expertise is complemented by an academic background in education, law enforcement, and change management, making him a leading voice in crisis and risk management strategies.

 

Timo joined Prosectra in 2021. He holds a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from the University of Amsterdam and is an alumnus of the Netherlands Police Academy.
